The unique hand-painted ceramics from the Kichwa indigenous people contain imagery that reflects their mythology and legend. All materials are locally harvested including three colors of clay and minerals used to decorate the bowls. They complete complex designs with a fine brush with a skill honed by centuries of ceramic creations, many that are protected in Museum collections.
