What is Earth Bound?
		Earth Bound takes an integrated approach to community development by considering natural resources and community health within micro-enterprise development projects. Earth Bound builds partnerships with organized co-operatives and collectives to develop products and services that utilize community knowledge, cultural traditions, and sustainable practices. Further, we strive to educate the general public on the importance of environmental and social issues surrounding the world's wild places and indigenous cultures. Earth Bound is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Charitable Organization and a Member of the Fair Trade Federation
			Guiding Principals Partner with cooperatives or collectives to develop programs that improve the quality of their lives Recognize that communities have the knowledge to identify and prioritize their own needs and to facilitate their development projects Acknowledge that economic development must take into account traditional lifestyles, community health, and environmental impact Encourage respect for traditional knowledge and the environment through cultural educational programs Potential Activities Design projects that promote skills and/or products in order to generate additional income for our partner cooperatives Organize interactive workshops on topics that include resource management, product development and basic business skills Assess handcraft production processes for potential health and environmental hazards, and recommend necessary changes Design creative educational media to educate the American public, especially school children, about cultures and the environment Partner with organizations that address community health issues
