Textiles and Photographs of Chiapas – a traveling exhibit, now in its 4th year, includes lectures and weaving demonstrations by visiting Maya weavers from Cooperativa Jolom Mayaetik and representatives from Kinal Antsetik, a Mexican women’s human rights organization. The exhibit is produced in cooperation with Sna Jolobil Weaving Cooperative and the Florida Musuem of Natural History and funded by U. S. – Mexico Fund for Culture. Our current goal is to attract funding to place the exhibition into indigenous, Native American, and Hispanic community centers.
